Hand Forged Tripod & Cook Spit

If you love to cook outdoors, this hand-forged tripod & cooking spit give you the best of both worlds. The set consists of 1 rod with a ring at the end, 2 rods with forged hooks at the end, and 1 large and 1 small "S" hook. By interlinking the hooks inside the circle, you create the tripod. By placing the 2 hooked rods in the ground and resting the circle rod across them, you create the cook spit/rotisserie. The bottom of the rods are all tapered, for ease of inseting into the ground.
 
It's important to know that this set is not forged from common crude iron (usually called pig-iron). This set is hand forged from Premium 316 Stainless Steel. Stainless steel rod stock is much more expensive than crude iron, and is harder to work with, but the results are superior, as you have something that will resist rust and will be in your family for generations to come.
 
The two "S" hooks allow you to hang your dutch oven or cook pot at various heights. Combine the two hooks to hang your pot closest to the coals.

Please note: If you are new to cooking outdoors with a tripod set, please be aware that the steel will get very hot and will hold heat for a while, even after removed from the heat source. Please use proper cooking gloves and utensils when using cookware exposed to high heat.
